Works to this Grade 'A' listed building, involved extensive refurbishment and restoration of this historical structure and the provision of additional accommodation into the roof space, along with a boardwalk to the side and rear of the building over the River Shannon. The old wall of Limerick was uncovered during excavations and is exposed as a lit feature in the main foyer. The Project received the OPUS Building of the Year Award in the Conservation and Restoration Category in 2003 . |
